In 1939, the Norwegian engineer Birger Hønningstad designed an aircraft for Widerøe’s Flyveselskap which came to mark the transition from the pre-war pioneering period to the established seaplane company of the post-war years. The Hønningstad C5 Polar was a multi-purpose high-winged single-engined aircraft. The magazine describes the history of the aircraft and includes numerous colour profiles, technical drawings (1:48), and side-view drawings. It is illustrated with both colour and black-and-white photographs.
